I wanted a better pack for Deer hunting that wasn't camouflaged or tactical. I really like the look of the Stubben, but for a hunting pack, it really needs to have a wide hip belt built in to be useful for me. I realize this pack was designed around bird hunting, but I figured it would be well suited to deer hunting as well. The pack has a ton of room for most situations. There are only a few minor problems I have with it, and why it gets only 4 stars, one is lack of organizing pockets, and also, no way to attach straps to the bag. There are a few pockets, but it could really use a few more easy access pockets. Also, the g-1000 material is awesome and silent, but unlike their rucksack, they don't use it on the interior snow cover. Which is nylon, and is very loud when the temperature drops. As for attachment points, I ended up stitching in a few leather strap attachments to the sides of the pack, and that has made a huge difference in versatility. Also, I have woven shock cord with sinch stops through the back webbing, now I am able to put a blanket on the bottom, a scabbard on the side, and stuff additional clothing in the cord. Overall, the pack is very well made, and has become my favourite hunting pack.
