Keb Trousers Regular

Technically advanced hiking pants in stretch and durable G-1000 Eco. Optimized fit, ventilation and pockets. This model is also available in a 5 cm longer version, Keb Trousers Long

Out of stock

Technically advanced hiking pants with optimized fit and carefully planned details. Intended for alpine trekking that requires climbing - where mobility is just as important as durability and protection from sharp stones, etc. For this purpose the rear and knees are pre-shaped and have extra strong seams. The trousers also have durable G-1000® Eco at the rear, front of the legs, the knees and on the inside bottom of the legs, where there is also a second layer of fabric for reinforcement against wear from hiking boots. The seam on the inside of the thigh has been moved and replaced by a connecting fabric panel to reduce the risk of chafing and wear. A zippered ventilation opening from knee to hip and along the calf releases excess heat. The trouser fly is also extended to enable extra ventilation. Two leg pockets with pocket cover flap, one with a zip and one with a mesh pocket inside for bits and bobs. High hand pockets hold their contents even when sitting down. Strap adjustment with button fastening at trouser end plus hook to secure to ski boot or hiking boot.

  1. A+
    Product rating
Absolutely love these trousers. My activities using these guys include mushroom picking, bushcraft, camping, hiking, canoe trips etc. and these pants handle them all with ease. I've built up about 8-9 layers of wax on them as well and find the material to still be comfortable and notably warmer with said wax. Even with all of these wax impregnations they are NOT waterproof (which they do not claim to be) so if you need a trouser for rain check out the Fjallraven eco-shell options. Love these guys and the ventilation system especially when out for hikes and mushroom picking. All around excellent pant! I sometimes even find myself wearing them at home !
  2. Good Hiking/Portaging pants
    Product rating
Quality pants that feel nice/fit very well when hiking/canoeing. They are light and cool on the legs (more so when windy). I haven't used them in hot weather yet but I think the side vents will be nice to use when my legs are hot & sweating. I ordered size 52 and they fit me like a size 36 waist (Canadian Size 36 jeans normally fit a little loose on me). These pants feel stretchy in the waist and crotch area and there is definitely enough space for "long johns" as an under layer in colder weather. Very happy with this purchase.
  3. Great pants

These might be the most expensive non dress pants I have ever bought and they are worth it. The reinforcements are in all the right places and the stretch is in all the right places. They are my go to pants for doing anything, and if you find the right base layer, they make great snowshoeing / Nordic skiing pants. Highly recommend these
  4. Excellent Pants

Really like these pants. Good mobility hiking up the mountains of Vancouver Island. Good rain resistance. Side zips are great for heat control. Have had for them one year now and they are holding up well. Wear them every weekend. Stretchy material is holding up well but will likely be what goes first on these pants; but this is what gives them their comfortable and mobility. These are without a doubt the best and most comfortable hiking pants that I have ever owned. Highly recommend them. Will definitely buy them again.
  5. Comfortable, but durable?
    Product rating
I bought these pants to wear in the winter while hiking and skiing. They worked great, they blocked wind, kept me dry and were very comfotable given the stretch material.

The G-1000 material is very durable, no complaints. However the other stretchy material is not that strong and didn't hold up that long. After bush wacking on my last outing I found around the pocket area the stretch material had piled and fibres were straying and loose. I wish that the stretch material could hold up a bit better.

Also about a month after owning one of the snaps broke, rendering the map pocket a little useless. I had to keep this shut as the flap would get in the way and catch on things. I did make a warranty claim and Fjallraven will be sending a new snap to me to fix myself.

These are great pants, I just wish for a pant that is $200+ they held up a bit better when tramping around in the bush.
  6. Excellent trekking pants

I bought these pants because I wanted something durable and technical for hiking and SAR in the Pacific Northwest. After wearing these pants on a few hikes and bush bashes I feel like I can speak to their pros/cons.

Pros: The G1000 Eco material is fairly light and very hard wearing. Blackberry thorns have not made a mark on this material at all. The front leg pockets are great - such an intuitive place to put things you need to access often. The gaiter snaps on the cuff and the lace hooks allow you to cinch up the bottom of the pants so they don't ride up. Great for wearing gaiters over top of as well. The stretchy material in the legs and rear make the pants very mobile. The multiple vents allow heat to spill off conveniently. These pants are obviously very high quality and look great.

Cons: The stretchy material inside the legs, waist, back isn't nearly as impervious to snags/bushes as the G1000 is. I noticed the material piling in these areas after I had waded through some waist high bushes. The trade off is the mobility afforded by using that material.

Overall, I'm very happy with these pants. I appreciate the quality of the workmanship and I am glad to have finally found a replacement to flimsy nylon hiking pants.
  7. Fantastic

I have had one pair of Keb Trousers for a year now. They have been everything I have been looking for in a multi-use outdoor 3-season pant. Being in Northern Ontario, I still use my heavyweight wool pants in the dead of winter.

These pants are ultimate comfort, they move with the wearer and are free of pressure points while squatting, kneeling or bending. A little too warm? Just open the leg zippers to cool things down.

I especially like these on canoe treks as the double knees have an opening in the bottom than allow for the insertion of strapless light-duty kneepads that allow me to go from sitting in the canoe to kneeling in comfort.

Durability over the past year have been good, If you spend time outdoors in multiple positions, and want great comfort, these are well worth the pricetag.
